Silly Sentences

Try this game the next time you have to travel somewhere in a car and need to bust some time. This is a hilarious game that everyone present in the car can enjoy.

The idea of this game is to spontaneously try to build a sentence by adding words to those spoken by other players.

To begin, a person says a word that is suitable to start a sentence. Eg. “I”. The person sitting to her immediate left follows with a word that flows with the first spoken word. Eg. “am” .This continues in a clockwise direction as each person adds to the previous word. When someone pauses or says a word that does not make sense with what has already been spoken, the person is out and the others continue until there is only one player remaining. She is declared the winner.

Besides having to think fast, the only caution is that the words you say, put together into a sentence, have to make sense.

It can be run-on, silly or even stupid, but it has to make some sense.
Remember, if somebody pauses after a word, they are out of the game. The person who continues the longest without messing up, wins the Silly Sentences game!

Example of how things flow: (There are four people in this example: Dad, Mom, Bradley and Jeff)
Dad says “Once”; Mom says “upon”; Bradley says “a”; Jeff says “time”; Dad says “there” ;Mom says “was” ;Bradley says “a” ;Jeff says “ hairy” ; DAD PAUSES ; Dad would be out of the game. The other three continue from where they left off.
