Little
children deserve to be more than acknowledged during
our family worship service. They ought to feel that they
and their worship are as integral a part of the church
order as any other age group.
Of
course, today’s church recognizes the value
of the child’s presence and his/her involvement
in a church service. What better can motivate, entertain
and profoundly touch an adult like a child’s
innocent worship? We love to see them parade before
the church on route to their own children’s
church. Better yet, we love to see or hear a performance.
Why
else do we bring them to a family worship service
then to include them in worship with us? Many
churches have the little kids line off in front of
the altar for prayer prior
to dismissal for kid’s
church. Many pastors even have the kids sing or
perform before the congregation. A common struggle
for pastors
and leaders, however, is to discover something
novel and stimulatingly for their children to
do in the
church service to ensure they are included in the
family service. Impact
Ministries has developed the “Pastor’s
Pals” concept as a means of alleviating this
struggle of bridging the gap in a family worship
service. A year long manual is presented to follow
precisely
or use as a guide to spark ideas and creativity. A
whole new dimension of worship and enthusiasm await
you and your congregation
as you learn and
worship
together through “Pastor’s Pals.”
